WHO QUALIFIES: All couples who can say that they live together can receive a California Confidential Marriage License through Los Angeles County. Your I.D. addresses don't need to match, as long as you both attest that you actually satisfy the qualification. You do not need to live in either California, Los Angeles or the United States to qualify for the confidential marriage license.
IDENTIFICATION NEEDED FOR A MARRIAGE LICENSE: Los Angeles county requires that for each marriage license you present to us one piece of current (not expired) government-issued photo I.D. such as a passport, a driver's license, a state I.D. card, and a green card. If you are divorced or had your marriage annulled within the last two years, we need a copy of your divorce or annulment decree.
WEDDING LOCATION LOS ANGELES: In order for us to issue a Los Angeles County Confidential Marriage License the wedding ceremony must be a Los Angeles wedding - - it must take place within the legal limits of L.A. county. Please see a list of Los Angeles cities on the marriage license page to see if your area is there if you are not sure of the county:
